Whitehouse Textiles is a textile shop based in Vaikom, India.
We have established partnerships with several well-known textile brands including Aravind, Mafatlal, Century Textiles, Raymonds, Bombay Rayon, Rasi Kavi, Udhayam Dhoti, Sangu Mark, Jansons India, Jockey, VStar, Blossom, and Newday. These partnerships have helped us to provide high-quality textiles to customers, as well as expand our reach in the market. Our association with these well known brands is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality products.
The history of Whitehouse can be traced back to 1916 when the founder Ouseph Thommy aka Tommy Kunju, an agriculturist ventured into the textile business.
In 1940, Thomas Varghese aka Vakkachan, began the wholesale division by acquiring products directly from the mills with a vision to follow ethical business practices and responsible sourcing ensuring the buyers get best-in class products.
From the 1970’s, K.V Mathew, the youngest among the merchants, travelled across India to procure products directly from various mills and manufacturers.
Ever since 2008, the fourth generation has been successfully running the family business.
We saved the best for last, Mr K.L Devassy. A remarkable person to be noted in the history of Whitehouse. K.L Devassy (Thrissurkaran), Kollanoor House, Thrissur served/devoted as a manager with Thomas Varghese and K.V Mathew and upheld his own strategies and principles of management that served the best interests of everyone alike.
